Colin Firth has been confirmed to play 'Harry', Christine Baranski will play 'Tanya' and Stellan Skarsgard as 'Bill' in the MAMMA MIA! movie with Julie Walters as 'Rosie', Amanda Seyfried in the role of 'Sophie' and Dominic Cooper will play 'Sky'. The film also starring Meryl Streep ('Donna') and Pierce Brosnan ('Sam'), directed by Phyllida Lloyd, will go into production in the summer of 2007.

Pierce Brosnan will star opposite Meryl Streep in MAMMA MIA!, the film adaptation of the hit musical for Universal and producing partners Playtone and Littlestar.
MERYL TUNES UP FOR BIG 'MAMMA'
Meryl Streep is set to star in "Mamma Mia!," the bigscreen adaptation of the hit tuner that Universal and producing partners Playtone and Littlestar are mobilizing for a summer start. Littlestar's Judy Craymer will produce with Playtone's Gary Goetzman. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson will exec produce with Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, the Abba songwriters whose tunes drive the musical. Phyllida Lloyd, who directed the original "Mamma" in London as well as its Broadway incarnation, will make her feature directing debut on the pic. Pic will shoot in London and Greece. Catherine Johnson, who wrote the book for the musical, penned the screenplay, about a bride-to-be who never met her father and was raised by a formerly rebellious single mother (Streep).
